Tommy Boy Brand Vintage Coachella Valley Grape Crate Label, Girdled Thompson

$9.99

This fruit crate label was used by Cy Mouradick & Sons, Inc., Thermal, California. Girdling is the process of cutting a thin layer of bark at the base of the vine to stop the flow of sugar down, instead moving it toward the grapes.  The vines don't really were girdles!

  • 4.00 x 13.00 inches in size.
  • Printed in the 1960s.
  • Mint condition.
An original fruitcrate label, not a copy, not a computer-printed art print.  A vintage label intended to be pasted on a crate, but never used.  Old stock from a warehouse find.
