Skookum Brand Vintage Washington Apple Crate Label, Chiliwhist

This fruit crate label was used by Skookum Packers Association, Wenatchee, Washington.  Cartoon image of Native American Indian brave.  Skookum was a marketer who would use insets of other packer's labels in their label.  There are hundreds of variations.

  • 9.00 x 10.00 inches in size.
  • Printed in the 1930s.
  • Condition: quite a bit of staining and wear, looks like it may have floated around the packinghouse floor.
An original fruit crate label, not a copy, not a computer printed art print.  A vintage label intended to be pasted on a crate, but never used.  Old stock from a warehouse find.
