Little Quaker Brand Vintage Grand Rapids Michigan Small Green Lima Beans Can Label

$9.99

This antique can label was used by W. R. Roach & Co, custom pack label for a grocer.

This can label came from a Calvert Litho sample book put together in 1925.  Lithograph companies always had archives. They would print an order for a client then set a few aside for future reference, working copies(sometimes used to write adjustments on, such as name changes, then sent to the printing department).  Sometimes date stamping, but not always.  In this case labels from the archive were pasted into a large book.  My guess is these books were used by the sales department for displaying Calvert's lithograph expertise to protentional clients. Some of the rarer can labels you will find.

  • 4.25 x 11.00 inches in size.
  • Printed in the 1920s.
  • Condition: some paper and glue residue on the back, from a printer's archive sample book.
An original label, not a copy, not a computer-printed art print.  A vintage label intended to be pasted on a can, but never used.  Old stock from a warehouse find.  When shopping at a store during this time period, this is the actual label you would have found on a can.
