Repetition Brand Vintage Yakima Washington Pear Crate Label b

$4.99

This fruit crate label was used by R. Wachsmith, Yakima, Washington.  Fun image of three boys in front of packed boxes of pears, note the repeating image of the label on the box.  Grower emphasizing consistent repeating quality.  Pears were packed in this manner, however they were wrapped in tissue paper and place in boxes in a standard uniform design. The pears in these boxes would have been 150 size, note 5 pears in each row, offset rows 3 x 3.  6 x 5 gives you 30 pears on top row, 5 rows deep would give you 150 pears thus size 150.  If the correct uniformly sized pears were used this would give you the 42 lbs. noted on the bottom right.   Certain sized commanded better prices, generally the larger sizes.
