Tomato Catsup Vintage Case End Can Label

This antique case end label was used by R. Franke, Oakland, California.  An early label printed by Schmidt Label and Litho. Co.  Schmidt changed their name in 1899, dating this label to pre 1899, possibly 1880's.  Nice fruit and berry vignette, my guess is this would have gone on a wood crate holding bottles, or cans.

  • 6.50 x 7.50 inches in size.
  • Printed in the 1890s.
  • Condition: top right corner tip reattached, otherwise nice.
An original label, not a copy, not a computer-printed art print.  A vintage label intended to be pasted on a case, but never used.  When shopping at a store during this time period, this is the actual label you would have found on a can.
