Old California Brand Vintage G. Piuma Wine Label

$9.99

This old wine label was used by Giovanni Piuma, an early settler arriving in Los Angeles in the 1870's.  He started a grocery and retail liquor business around 1889.  In 1895 he planted vineyards in El Monte, north Los Angeles and continued to make wine until 1912.  In 1918 he became a consular and was also involved in the Italian Vineyard Company.  The label shows a drawing of the company plant in North Los Angeles, nice gold trim, scarce.

  • 3.50 x 4.50 inches in size.
  • Printed in the 1910s.
  • Mint condition.
An original label, not a copy, not a computer-printed art print.  A vintage label intended to be pasted on a bottle of wine, but never used.  Old stock from a warehouse find.  When shopping at a store during this time period, this is the actual label you would have found on a can.
